

He was born on November 11, 1947 and was a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa.
Fred attended Tuscaloosa County High and graduated from the University of Alabama.
Prior to college, he obtained his commercial pilot license and flew for Dixie Air. Upon graduating with a degree in film and broadcast, he owned and operated Transvideo productions. For 35 years, his work was viewed locally and abroad and he was a recipient of a lifetime achievement award from The American Advertising Federation. Fred's passion was music and he played saxophone in bands including "The Diplomats," "The Top Ten," "Mother's Medicine" and "Tight Fit."
He is survived by his wife, Emilie Wiltz DeLoach of New Orleans, La.; and two children, Chloe and Donald DeLoach.
He was the son of the late Clyde and Leona DeLoach.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013 at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
