

Courtney Nicole Whitehead suddenly left this world to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 17, 2022. She is preceded in death by her father, William Carey Whitehead; and grandmother, Sylvia Chatham. Courtney is survived by her mother, Sheila Whitehead; grandfather, Lamar Chatham; sister, Christin Davis (Christopher); brother Eric Johnson (Candice); and her niece and nephews: Olivia Blair Davis, Kiley Johnson, Gavin Johnson and Cooper Johnson.
Courtney was born in Houston, Texas on March 16,1995. She grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where she graduated from Northridge High School then went on to the University of Alabama as a Kappa Delta sorority member.
Courtney was an animal lover and considered her two dogs Stella and Kinsley to be her children. In her younger life, she rode her beloved horse, Dakota, competitively. As a team Courtney and Dakota were able to fill a trophy cabinet with ribbons in their classification prior to him exceeding the age requirements for competition. She always had plans to get into western pleasure horses because she was so in love with riding horses and being able to share life with other horse lovers.
Courtney had a passion for Real Estate and interior design. After lots of her hard work she recently received her Real Estate license. She had plans to move back home to Tuscaloosa to begin her career and be close to her grandfather, niece and sister.
Pallbearers are Christopher Davis, Eric Johnson, Gavin Johnson, Cooper Johnson, Austin Dooley, Trey Jernigan, John Porter and Chris Porter.
A visitation for Courtney is scheduled for 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 25th, 2022 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home located at 2200 Skyland Boulevard East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. It will be immediately followed by a graveside burial ceremony at 3:00 p.m. From Memory Hill Gardens (Garden of the Last Supper), under the direction of Memory Chapel, a Dignity Memorial provider. The family asks that donations be given to The Greater Birmingham Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
