

Curtis Lee “PowderMan” Warren Jr., age 71, of Vance, died April 2, 2012, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Clary officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Thursday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Eliza Warren, and his brothers, J.C. and Luke Warren.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia Warren; his daughters, Cindy Powell, Tamantha Odoardo (Fred), and Morgan Donovan; his sons, Curtis Warren III and Tim Warren; his sister, Mildred Warren; his brother, Waymon Warren; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was a retired truck driver and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. He was helpful and loving and was loved by many. He was a great dad and a loving husband.
Pallbearers will be Earl, Glen, and Kenneth Gilliland, David and Anthony Ellis, and Richard Swindal.
Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Gilliland, Bill Booker, Bobby and Evelyn Ashcraft, Hospice of West Alabama, Evergreen Baptist Church, Cumberland Dental, DCH, friends and neighbors of Vance, Bobby Hubbard, Sam's Club, and Glen Haven Rehab.
