Kristen, im at a loss for words..i feel so much sadness. I know you have faith and reassurance through Jesus Christ that you will one day see your brother again. Im very sorry for the loss you and your family is having to suffer.

I was deeply saddened when I got the news of Dan's passing. When we were kids, Dan rode with us to and from school. Those were the good old Alberta Elementary days.  He used to keep me in stitches on those rides.  I've only ran into Dan once since those days. And even then, he still had me laughing out loud.

Farewell Dan. My thoughts go out to you and your family.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Dan Collier (Graham) Spencer our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Dan. And to Dan it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for his service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom while serving with the U.S. Army.  No greater love and patriotism is shown than a man render honorable service to his country.  Dan, you are a brave Army Warrior and a true Patriot.  We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

Your brother was a very special person and will be missed. You have our most sincere sympathy on his passing. Your brother lived a faith filled life and was an inspiration to my family- I feel blessed to have known such a strong individual.

Words cannot express my sadness for y'all.  Dan was such an inspiration to many with his unwavering faith in God and his fighting spirit.  Even though I cannot be with you all during this time, please know that you are in my prayers and thoughts.  I love you all and I am rejoicing that Dan is worshiping at the feet of Jesus in his new, perfect body.  May God wrap his comforting arms around you and grant you peace and strength during this sad time and always.

Dan, you were a great guy. I really enjoyed growing up on the same street as you and your family. You will be missed by all of my family. The world has lost another truly great guy. Rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear that Dan was no longer with us. I first met him in 1984 and found him to be such a warm, loving and caring person.  We lost touch over the years and I became reacquainted with him shortly before his diagnosis.  Even when he was the most sick, he still had a smile and a wave when he passed my office.  All the staff is TENT is sadden by the loss of one of our favorite patients.  Praying for peace and comfort for the family.  I believe Dan would want to encourage everyone to accept the Lord as their Savior and to live each day for Him so that you can one day be joined with your loved ones in Heaven.

Dan you were one of a kind and we loved you dearly. I guess my fondest memories are of that teenager that used to hang around our house on Highpoint Dr.  You will be missed!  Prayeres are going up for your family!

You were a great man and a wonderful father, i feel very blessed to have been a part of your life, Love you all the way to heaven and back always.

Throughout his battle,Dan had the most positive outlook,  sweet spirit, and strong faith, that I have ever seen.  He was always surrounded by much genuine love from his family....may we all learn from him!

There was never a time that I saw Dan that he didn't speak and always make me laugh.  Kristen you are in my thoughts and prayers.  One year ago this same time we were facing the same trial.  Time will ease the pain but nothing will ever take away the memories or the love you have for your brother.  I know I miss and love mine dearly.  We love you and will keep you in our prayers.

Superman, you were such a special person and inspiration to so many. You taught me so much and showed me lessons in life I'll carry with me forever. I hate we didn't get to spend as much time together a we had like to of but I sure am thankful for every second we spent together. We were always laughing together and never had a dull moment. From fishin to just talkin I always smiled around you. I'll never forget the ride home from the mountains and tryin to stink eachother out!:) you are such a big part of who I am today. You showed me to never give up, always have faith, and never let my loved ones forget how much I love them. I miss you so much already dude!! I'm so glad you are healed and no longer suffering superman! You were an amazing person, father, and friend to me Meagan ash and danyelle! We forever love you!

Dan will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him! We had some great times together! I know I will miss his smile, sense of humor and the daring way he liked to get things done. Dan was a real hero and a loving person.  Our family was blessed to know him, if only for a short while. Our prayers are with his wonderfully brave family.
