Danyel “PJ” Peggy Joyce Jordan left to go be with Jesus Sunday, October 4, 2026. PJ was a deeply loved wife, friend and compassionate soul whose warmth left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. PJ had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen, valued and welcomed. She was adored and loved by so many whose lives she touched. PJ’s love for animals reflects the generous tenderness at the center of who she was. PJ cared deeply for every creature, and found joy, comfort and connection in their companionship.

Above all, PJ loved her husband, Aeron, dearly. Their bond was a defining part of her life built on devotion, love and the countless moments they shared together. The love they share for one another will remain a cherished part of her memory. PJ and Aeron have one child, a sweet golden retriever whose name is Obi.

PJ is a 2012 graduate of American Christian Academy. PJ has been employed by Hope Animal Clinic for the past 8 years. PJ accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized just a few months ago.

PJ is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Margaret Harrell and Rosalyn Jordan as well as Shamus and Bear. PJ is survived by her husband, Aeron Jordan; her parents Angie and Keith Harrell; her grandfathers, Danny Harrell and Michael Jordan; sisters, Baleigh Hayes (Kenneth) and Jess Saldana (Shawn Williams); brothers, Jackson Driver, Decker Harrell and James Robert Burns, Jr. (Mallory); uncle, Jeff Harrell (Melanie); aunt, Jucretia Snow; former stepmother, Melody Johnston-Harrell; best friends, Elizabeth and Brandon Ballard.

Services for PJ will be Sunday, October 11, 2026. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, 5200 Old Birmingham Highway, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404. A graveside service will follow at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Bradley Lenseigne. Pallbearers are James Robert Burns, Jr., Brandon Ballard, Jackson Driver, Chris Driver, Jeff Harrell, Tim Turner, Dr. David T. Fuller, III and Dr. Thomas P. Giambrone, III.
