Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, David and Maggie Carter; grandparents, George and Elise Carter; uncle, Jerry Akins.
He is survived by his sister, Fay Beck; nephews, Stephen Beck Jr., Tony Porter (Jamie), and Michael Beck; great-nephew, Gage Beck; great-nieces, Blu Porter and Maggie Beck.
Wayne worked at Phifer for over 30 years. He enjoyed Alabama football, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
