A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, A Dignity Memorial Provider directing.
Squirrel, as he was affectionately known by his friends, entered this life on August 31, 1952 in Tuscaloosa, AL to the late Richard and Pearl Deerman Shirley. He worked in the Automotive business, was a Baptist, and thoroughly enjoyed cooking, fishing, golfing, and music. He will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his special friends, Gordon Hawkins and Ricky Stafford.
Survivors include his daughter, Whitney (Tye) Milliken; siblings, Richard Shirley, Jr., James Otis Shirley, and Betty Marcum; grandchildren, Tyler Ann and Layne Milliken, and special Clarksville family, Karen and Tom Edwards, Emily Cummings and Amy Traylor.
