FOSTERS - Dennis R. Jacobs, age 61, of Fosters, died June 21, 2020. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Grant’s Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Don Springer and Bro. Scott Gavin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Myrtle Jacobs of Fosters, Ala.; and grandparents, William and Ethel Jacobs of Fosters, Ala. He is survived by his sisters, Sandra Patrick and Terri Jacobs of Fosters; brother, Bobby Jacobs (Karen) of Fosters; nephews, Jason Jacobs and Wesley Jacobs of Fosters; great-nephew, Travis Jacobs of Fosters; and great-niece, Leanna Jacobs of Fosters. Dennis was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He loved to garden and be outdoors. He enjoyed helping people, working with his hands, and spending time with his nephews, great-nephew and great niece. He was especially close with his brother, and often when you saw one you saw the other. He attended church and loved his Grant's Creek Baptist family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Pallbearers will be Bill Poole, Tim King, Josh Poole, Eddie Jacobs, Roy Jacobs, and Ray Jacobs. Honorary pallbearers are family, friends, and members of Grant’s Creek Baptist Church.

In many ways I thought of Dennis as another brother. I will always remember the teasing and laughter. He was always willing to lend a hand to a friend or neighbor in need. A great loss to our community....he will be missed! Dennis...enjoy your heavenly rewards my dear friend.
