Derrick Wade Barger

COALING – Derrick "Duck" Wade Barger, age 62, died September 1, 2016, in an automobile accident. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Heritage Chapel with Rev. Todd Burkhalter officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, A Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Ruby Barger; brothers, Riley Barger, JP Barger, Mack Barger, Randy Barger; and sister, Merle Gwin.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Barger; daughter, Brandi Barger Hall (Mike); son, Brandon Shane Barger (Nancy); sisters, Carol McFerrin (Ellis) of Concord, Ala., Denise Dennis (Mike) of West Blocton, Ala.; brothers, Greg Barger of Coaling, Ala., Tim Barger of Vance, Ala.; grandchildren, Lee Barger, Taylor Barger, Alyssa Barger, Chloe Barger, Bree Hall, Matt Hall, Mallory Grace Hall; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Barger and Hadleigh Archer.

Duck loved the outdoors. His hobbies were working on cars and trucks as well as gardening.
