Dora M. Rubio, 89, of Tuscaloosa, passed away on February 10, 2021 at Heritage Health Care and Rehab. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 1-2pm at Memory Chapel, followed immediately by a 2pm Graveside Service at Memory Hill Gardens. Memory Chapel of Tuscaloosa, a Dignity provider, is honored to be entrusted with final arrangements.
Dora Marie Rubio was born June 29, 1931, in Lot, KY, to the late John and Clara Ross. She was a longtime resident of Tuscaloosa and was affectionately known to many as “Aunt Dodie.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Rubio, sisters, Martha Crossland and Sharon Johnson; and brothers, Willard, Glenn and Bill Ross.
Ms. Rubio is survived by her daughter, Marilyn R. Manecke of Gainesville, GA; niece, Debbie Baker; great-niece, Angela Kelly; and great-nephew, Justin Baker.
The family wishes to recognize Dr. Greg Reynolds, Hospice of West Alabama and the Nursing Staff of Heritage Health Care as Honorary Pallbearers.
