Doris Britton, age 91, of Eutaw, Ala., passed away November 7, 2018 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Charles Lenn officiating. Burial will follow at Souls Chapel Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Britton; parents, Chester Vaughn and Annie Vaughn; brother, Willard Vaughn; and sisters, Jewel Stegall and Ruby Johnson. Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Wyatt (Junior); son, Ronnie Rudolph Britton (Kay); sister, Annie Lois Hutcherson; and grandchildren, Chris Hunter (Candice), Amy Britton, Lorie Hallman (Chris), Cassie Britton, Brennan Wyatt (Kristie) and Janna Sanford (Terry). Doris Britton worked at Britton's Grocery (serving the public) from 1956 until the present. She graciously hosted every family gathering, holidays, birthdays and special events, even cooking and decorating her home. There are no words to express how badly she will be missed by her family and friends. Pallbearers will be Chris Hunter, Garrett Hunter, Chris Hallman, Darrell Tucker, Terry Sanford, Grand Sanford and David Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers are customers of Britton's Grocery for the last 60 years, Dr. Brian Wilhite, doctors, nurses, and Chaplain Lindsey at DCH Emergency Room. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eutaw Ambulance Service.
