VANCE – Earnest Ray Hall, age 78, passed away October 30, 2020 at his home. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Hallman officiating and Memory Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his mother, Mary “Louise” Corkren; and grandson, Raymond Hampton.
He is survived by his companion, Mandy Gibson; daughters, Kathleen Harmon (Matthew) of Tenn., Michele Hall of Ala., Stacey Wells (Ryan) of N.J., Christie Majors (Keith) of Ala., and Ciara Barker (Leigh) of Ala.; sons, Richard Hall of N.J., Raymond Hall (Katie) of W. Va., and Justin Hall (Amy) of Ala.; 23 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Ray served in the United States Army and had a passion for helping others. He loved the outdoors, taking care of his horses and all of his animals. He was a huge fan of Nascar (The Intimidator – Dale Earnhart). He was especially proud of all his grandkids. If you knew Ray, you knew he made you feel like family.
Pallbearers will be Justin Hall, Brandon Hall, Christopher Hall, Tim Ford, and Hudson Hall.
