Lisa was devoted to her family, friends, and her beloved Alabama sports teams. She found joy in spending time at the beach, cooking, playing Mahjong, and yes, online shopping and true crime television. She generously shared her beautiful smile, warm personality, and good sense of humor with all who loved her. No one was ever a stranger to Lisa, as she was known for easily engaging anyone she met in conversation and befriending them. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Born in Brewton, Alabama, Lisa graduated from T.R. Miller High School in 1977 before being accepted to the Capstone College of Nursing, University of Alabama, where she graduated in 1981. Becoming a nurse was Lisa’s proudest accomplishment. She dedicated most of her career to serving others at DCH in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It was at DCH where she met the love of her life, Eric. Despite moving to Helena in recent years, Lisa always held Tuscaloosa close to her heart, considering it her true home.
Lisa is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Ernest Rosemore and Mrs. Iris Denaburg Norris. She is survived by her devoted husband and best friend of forty years, Eric Whitehead, her son Daniel Whitehead, and daughter Jesslyn Marlar (Keith). Her three grandchildren, Colton Whitehead, Cason Whitehead, and Grace Marlar, were the light of her life. Lisa is also survived by her siblings Geri (Bob) Tape, Cindy (Clyde) Butler, Michael (Michelle) Rosemore, Sydney Rosemore, brother-in-law Bryan (Jane) Whitehead, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of Lisa's life will be held, where friends and family can come together to honor her memory and carry her spirit forward. A graveside service is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Memory Hill Gardens, followed by a reception at Indian Hills Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to either the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB, specifically for Ovarian Cancer Research, or The Erin Rosemore Fund at Temple Emanu-El of Birmingham.
