Elisabeth was German but born in Lodz Poland during WWII. Her father, Karl Gebler was the first Jehovah’s Witness in the family. He was then joined by his wife, Olga and all their eight children. Elisabeth was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness on August 24, 1955. She faithfully served Jehovah for over 66 years. She is most assuredly in his memory, the safest place to be. Elisabeth loved teaching others the wonderful promises contained in God’s word. No doubt, she spoke of these things to many of you here today.
Elisabeth’s other love was sewing. We will never know how many items she produced throughout her lifetime. She started sewing at the age of 14 and never looked back. She was wonderfully creative in her vision and artistry. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and benefited by her work. Of the many good qualities that stand out for Elisabeth is her ability to make you feel like you were the only person in the room. When she spoke with someone, she totally gave them her attention and listened with care.
