Eloise Linebarger Ryan

Eloise Linebarger Ryan, 93, of Tuscaloosa, passed away on Friday, July 09, 2021 at Hospice of West Alabama. A visitation will be held from Hargrove Memorial United Methodist Church on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 9:30am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service. Services will be officiated by Rev. Jimmy Mixson and Rev. Rodney Shamery. Interment will immediately follow from Memory Hill Gardens, Garden of the Last Supper. Final arrangements are entrusted to the care of Memory Chapel, a Dignity Memorial provider.

Eloise or “Weezie” as she was known, was born in Alabama in 1928 and spent part of her childhood in Roanole Island, NC. She returned with her family to Alabama and graduated High School in Winfield, AL. She then enrolled at the University of Alabama where she met her husband of 65 years D.L. Ryan with whom she helped to build a successful egg farming business. Weezie devoted her time and talents to her family and Hargrove Memorial United Methodist Church. Always loving and sharing her faith, she left us with Christ’s own words to “Love One Another.”

Ms. Ryan was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Mae Linebarger, husband D.L. Ryan, daughter Rhonda Ryan Tingle and brother James Douglas Linebarger.

She is survived by her daughter Phyllis Ryan Montgomery (Mike), son David Andrew “Drew” Ryan (Laura), grandchildren: Cassie McElroy, Suzie Tant, Ryan Montgomery, Daniel Tingle, Brent Mills, Morgan Mills, Emma Ryan and Colt Ryan, great grandchildren: Ansley McElroy, Madison McElroy, Addie Jones, Alex Tant, Davis Tant, Dani Tingle and “Baby Tingle.”

Ms. Ryan's grandsons will serve as Active Pallbearers.
