I am sad to hear of Emily's death but rejoying to know that ishe is in heaven where she is with the Lord and Robin. It is a comfort to know that she is no longer suffering but is free of all illness. 
Emily and I have been friends since i moved to Moultrie before the first grade. We were in church today as well. There were so many ways that our lives were join. One was our love of music. Our senior music recital was together (she sang and i acconpanied her as well as my piano recital.). We went to Ridge Crest together several times. She also sang at our wedding. So many memories! I could go on. 
Our love and prayers go out to Carron, Leigh Ann, and Timothy ( and families) as well as Mrs. Hiers, John, Alfred, and their families .

Through out our childhood in Moultrie, Emily Jean was a friend and competitor .  Yes, you always called her Emily Jean!  I am sure she has been blessed with a wonderful family.  My thoughts are with you all.

So sorry to hear about Emily Jean's passing. I graduated with her in 1960 from Moultrie High, and she was always so sweet. I am so glad to know that Emily Jean and her husband both loved the Lord and worked to serve Him. We know that she is in His loving presence now with no pain. She will be missed.

I am so sorry I did not know that Emily had died. I just recently learned she was sick and it is with sadness that I write this note.I hope her children will read it. Emily and I went to school together for 12 years. We were in Sunday School and church together longer than that. I spent many wonderful hours at her house on Hillcrest-we would ride our bikes down the steepest hill I knew about that was near her house! After the family moved over to 3rd Street we were older but I also remember going there. Her Mama was my Daddy's Sunday School teacher before he became one himself. Your family was very dear to mine. I will pray for the presence of the Lord to be with you as you grieve your loss.72 is much too young to die. Mary Jo Wheeler Taylor

Mrs. Emily was such a blessing to LFS. She has left a legacy behind, through her hard work and dedication to so many of our children to help them learn through music. Honored to have been a part of her last Thanksgiving and Christmas programs, but sad she won't be able to teach them again. God bless her sweet soul. May many, many loving memories help to comfort all who loved her during this difficult time.

While my spiritual heart rejoices that Emily Jean is having the best Easter ever with our Lord and family, my human heart has a hole in it.  I am thankful to have had her as a cousin for almost 73 years. Born on my mother's birthday made her special.  Will miss but am thankful she has graduated into the presence of our Lord where there is no pain.

Emily was a treasure! I am praying for each of you as you move through your tomorrows with the hole her absence from this earth leaves in your lives. I'm thankful for the promise of heaven and seeing her again!

I am going to miss Aunt Emily very much and wish that I could be there with you today to celebrate her life. I loved her laugh, her sense of humor (especially concerning Alfred and my father), her love for children, her art and creativity, her sweet potato soufflé, her ability to teach songs to people of all ages and make them want to sing with joy, and her apple pie (which she used as a down payment when Jay and I finally got engaged followed up by 2 more once we were married). Emily loved Jesus, loved her family, and loved life. I will miss her, especially when we sing hymns at Thanksgiving--she always wished we had a good Baptist hymnal vs. the Episcopal one with the wrong words;). She is in heaven singing now. Loved Emily so much.  Always a sweet smile and such a great way of teaching children.  She will be missed , although heaven gained a beautiful angel.

Your Mom was such a treasured friend and my heart is so sad at losing her.  I will miss our long phone calls and the sharing of our lives and that wonderful laugh -- but I know she is so happy right now to be with our Lord, Robin and so many other loved ones. May the Lord  bring you peace during this difficult time.  We love your family and will continue to pray for you all.

My heart is breaking today for the loss of my dear friend Emily of over 40 years.  I have wonderful special memories of our times together in Florida.  Even though we were apart we remained close.  Emily was a wonderful example, a blessing to me and all who knew her. Friends are friends forever if the Lord is Lord of them. Our loss is heavens gain. Words cannot begin to tell you how heavy my heart is at the passing of your Mother. I know that she is soaring with the angels and teaching the children in heaven and rejoicing over being reunited with Robin and her Dad. Peace be with each of you in this time of great sorrow.
