So sorry for this late condolence but I just learned of Eula's passing. Eula was a colleague and friend of mine for many years. She was an outstanding nurse who excelled in every position she had in her professional career.  She was a bright and gifted woman. She will be missed by many. Rest in Peace my friend.

Rose was God's special angel...

I’ve only had the privilege of getting to know Rose and her husband Sam for a little over a year - through OLLI classes at the UA. They were genuinely kind to me with every encounter - as if we had been friends for years. I suspect that many could say the same. 

I missed seeing them in June OLLI classes and was so very saddened when I learned on Tuesday of an explanation for a recent unanswered text. 
Rose was a lovely force - and I’m thankful for having known her - if only for a short while. 
My heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with Sam. 

Truly one of the best Nurse Executives that I have worked with in my healthcare career. She truly cared about “her nurses “ and was highly visible on the patient floors. Always available to assist in budget issues or overall operational questions.  On a personal basis, she was very helpful when my mother was in the hospital and rendered extremely helpful advice. She will truly be missed!  Our sympathy to the family. 

While training in medical school, I would work in the pharmacy at night to help make ends meet.

Eula Das would come around during the night shift and talk with us working the night shift in the pharmacy.  You could tell she really cared about each and every employee at DCH.  She knew everybody's name and always had an encouraging word for people.  You also knew that she was a great leader.  Everyone spoke so highly of her.  Even after she retired from DCH, many people still talk about what a great nursing leader she was. She left a great legacy at DCH.

Eula was one of a kind. She was more than a boss. She was a friend.  Never forgot a name. Always cared about you.  God threw away the mold when he made her.  Prayers for her family.  Can’t wait to see her in heaven one day.  

So sorry for your loss, she was the best boss anyone could want to work for.She cared about the employees. 

I will always remember Eula with great fondness.   She was truly an advocate for nursing.    When she rounded on the unit she spoke to everyone and knew everyone by name!
