Finnell Shattuck

Finnell Shattuck, 92, passed on September 7, 2026 at his home. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Chad Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Mr. Shattuck was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; parents, Earl and Eleanor Shattuck; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Joan Shattuck; and grandson, Dakoda Shattuck.

He is survived by his children, Sherie Terry (Neil), Jennifer Lightsey (Bill), and Christy "CJ" Shattuck; grandchildren, Christina Shelton (Drew), James Terry (Sara Kathryn), Jamie Geer, Leah Lowery (Chad), Jason Lightsey, Trent Shattuck, and TC Lightsey (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Hudson Shattuck, Reagan Lightsey, Sophie Shattuck, Cheyenne Mills, Cole Geer, Cayden Lowery, Sidney Lowery, Cooper Lowery, Harper Lowery, Cameron Terry, Anna Kate Terry, Grayson Terry, Emily Ellis Terry, and Amelia Terry; and great-great-grandchildren, Clemmie and Augustus Tollison.

Pallbearers will be Roger Baisden, Jason Lightsey, TC Lightsey, Trent Shattuck, James Terry, and Hudson Shattuck.

Honorary pallbearers are the Telephone Pioneers, John Chambers, the staff of Tuscaloosa Urology Center, especially Rachel Beard, Dr. Winston Crute, Dr. Gene Alldredge, and W.D. Snipes.
