We lived in Holt, Al. And I was in the 4th or 5 th grade. Dad had a Yamaha and he bought me a used Suzuki motorcycle and was trying to teach me to ride. Well he sat on it and popped the clutch to show me how to ride it, and it popped a wheelie and almost fell back on him. I finally got on it and in the front yard I popped the clutch and it shot off so fast I ran right through the Big brier Bush in the yard and cut me up a little. I through it down and didn’t get back on it again

The Ice Storm of 1982. We both worked at the TVAMC, and I started off to work driving from upper Columbus rd from our home in Coker. I got maybe 4 miles up the rd, when dad in his little 2 wheel drive pickup truck caught up to me. He motioned for me to pull over and get out. He said “ get in your never going to get to work like this” he hit side roads, because so many people were stuck and blocking the main road. We went up rice mine rd and up the steep hill into Alberta city and made it to work. WE WERE ONE OF THE FEW TO GET TO WORK PERIOD.

Me and dad were putting roofing shingles on our home in Coker, Al. I leaned over the top off the roof to find out where the wasp was coming from and got stung on the tip of my Nose! My dad laughed so hard , he almost fell off the roof....
