Annie Gay Dyer was born December 7, 1936 in Gordo, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Choyce and Beatrice Dyer, and her brothers Ralph, Billy, Len and Joe Dyer. She was the 4th of 11 children.
Gay graduated from Gordo High School and later attended the University of Alabama, becoming a Radiologic Technologist. After briefly working for Druid City Hospital, she joined the staff of Bryce Hospital. She retired after 32 years of service, as the chief lab and X-Ray technician.
Gay had 3 children: Melody Bailey, Chuck Marlow and Dennis McGough. She had six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, and was certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

A visitation for Gay will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
