Gene was preceded in death by his father, Clair E. Smith; mother, Elsie M. Smith; Tony F. Smith (Faye) and Patsy S. Arthur (Owen).
He is survived by his wife, Carroll H. Smith; daughter, Stacey M. Smith; daughters of the heart, Amanda McGraw (Brian), Ashley Phillips (Ken); brother, Wallace Smith (Paulett); extended family, 6 nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews; 4 great-great nephews.
