George Paul Hawkins of Tuscaloosa, formerly of Gadsden passed away June 14, 2022, at the age of 91. Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Myrtle Ruth Hawkins. He is survived by daughters, Denise Taylor (Tim) of Prattville, Leigh McCracken (Stan) of Tuscaloosa, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, all of whom he dearly loved. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 18th at Ridgecrest Baptist Church at 10:30, with Pastor David Mills officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 at Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden. Pallbearers will be Nathan Taylor, John Paul Taylor, John David McCracken, Nick Shoupe, Jake Taylor, and Cole Taylor.
