.TUSCALOOSA - Glen D. Spires, age 84, of Tuscaloosa, died June 11, 2016. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, A Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara E. Jones Spires; dad, Glen Spires; mom, Lizzie McLeod Spires; one brother; and two sisters. Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Spires Perkins; sons, Daniel Spires and Bryan Micheal Vines; sister, Gladys Vines; brothers, Mike Spires and Robert Spires of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Daniel A. Spires of Gray, Ga.; and grandchildren, Brittany Ann Spires, Kristen Che´ Perkins, Danny Lee Spires, Hunter Ryan Wheat, Emily Sarah Wheat and Hannah Grace Foley.
