Gloria "Gandee" Denise (O'Neil) Tunnell

Denise, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, age 69, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 14, 2021 at home, surrounded by her adoring family. Graveside services will be Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at Memory Hill Gardens, with Dolan Davis and Hank Atchison officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from9:30 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas C. O'Neil and Betsy Hobson Mock, and her sisters in law Kay Burton and Gayle Tunnell.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years Ray Tunnell, her sons Rusty Tunnell(D'Lyn)and Randy Tunnell(Noelle), and her sister, Lyndall Wilson(Marty). She is also survived by her grandchildren, the loves of her life, John Cade, Brooks, Jillian, Bentley and Baylor Tunnell, honorary granddaughter, Avery Smelley, her niece Loren Elmore, and her nephews Kyle Burton(Amanda) and Dr. Kent Burton.

Pallbearers will be John Cade Tunnell, Brooks Tunnell, Kyle Burton, Kent Burton, Butch Hobson, Don Montgomery and Jim Hayes.

Honorary Pallbearers are Cindy and Mike Belk, Dolan and Vicki Davis, Janet Atchison, Harriet and Don Montgomery, Linda and Billy Roberts, Frances and Ken McCaffrey, Harriet and Allen Mattox, Sybil Tierce, Sylvia and Bob Algee, Becky Guy, Donna and Jim Hayes, Mary Green, Ashley and Rick Everroad, Allyson and Matt Sullivan, Jennifer and Rodney Jones, Janice and Randy Brown, Dr. Elwin Crawford, Dr. J. Curtis Tucker, and Dr. David L. Hinton and nurses/care team of the Manderson Cancer Center, Dr. Mina Lobbous of UAB Oncology Center, Employees of USI Insurance, Members of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Covenant Partners of Safe Haven Church at Big Sandy, and Comfort Care personnel of Hospice of West Alabama.

In remembrance of Denise, the family requests charitable contributions be made to Comfort Care of Hospice of West Alabama
