

Gwendolyn Woods Crocker, age 81, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at home. Gwen was born June 14, 1944, in Eutaw, AL, to Onice and Gwen Woods. She was the second of three children. Gwen was a 1962 graduate of Greene County High School, a 1966 graduate of Livingston State University, and she later earned her master's degree in special education from the University of Alabama. She had one child and one grandchild. Gwen was a lifelong musician and taught music throughout her career. She retired from Greensboro East after 32 years of service. Gwen enjoyed playing her French horn at several churches in West Alabama and was a member of various orchestras and music ensembles through her life. She enjoyed sharing music with others, traveling, spending time with her family, and attending Caring Days of West Alabama.
Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Clem Crocker; parents, Onice and Gwen Woods; brothers, James Onice and Marlin Woods. She is survived by her son, Greg Siavelis (Heather); granddaughter, Helen Siavelis.
Graveside services will be held Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11:00 am at Concord Cemetery in Moundville, AL, with Nicholas Reid officiating. Pallbearers will be Tim Wall, Jeff Jordan, Marty Miller, Neil Woods, Charlie Reid, Robbie Wyatt and Jamey Payne.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Tim Wall, Patty Clark, CSP Meals on Wheels Volunteers, Aveanna Home Health Care for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Caring Days of West Alabama or CSP Meals on Wheels program.
