It was a real joy and blessing to know Harry Lee, a real gentleman who treated everyone the same. As a member of the Alabama athletic staff for many years, we worked together keeping up with players and coaches in the past for the A-Club. To me, Harry was "Mr. A-Club." I will certainly miss seeing him at A-Day games and football games when you could count on him being at the A-Club table to collect dues and answer any question about the A-Club. God bless his family and thanks Harry for many golden memories of Alabama football with you. You were a blessing to all of us, and will be solely missed.

My Uncle, Bill Hollis, played football at Alabama with Mr. Harry and were very good friends , I have always heard stories about the wonderful Harry Lee, and it was pleasure talking to him at the Alabama games. Our seats were near his in the A club section.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Lee family. The University of Alabama has lost a loving, dedicated fan for sure.

When I finally moved up from the B team to the varsity football team at Phillips High in my junior year, I did not know if I could really play with the "big boys." I was in awe of Harry, the team captain, and other linemen much larger and more experienced than I was. But Harry encouraged me and promised that I was "Gona play some ball" . As it turned out I did indeed become a starter , and the experience gave me a great boost in self-confidence. I will always remember Harry as a key leader of our team and as a mentor for me. And in our senior season we went undefeated and won the city championship.
