Hazel Perrigin Hayes

Graveside Services will be held Sunday April 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Larry Corder officiating with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider directing.

Hazel is preceded in death by her husband John Samuel Hayes, mother, Katie Perrigin, father, Abe Leon Perrigin, sisters, Betty Jo Hollomon and Daisy Kizziah, brother, Ruford Perrigin and granddaughter Katie E. Smitherman.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Laycock Miel (Bruce), Sandra Hayes Smitherman (O’Neal), son, Johnny Hayes (Sabrina), brother, Raiford Perrigin (Ruby), grandchildren, Bill Laycock (Christana), Christy Laycock Parsons (Miles), Anna Smitherman (Jesse McPherron), Sam Hayes and great-grandchildren, Alex, Evan, Kate, Jasper, and Maggie.

Hazel was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She graduated from Holt High school and was a bank teller for 30 years and loved giving out suckers to kids. Hazel was a friend to all.

Pallbearers will be Bill Laycock, Miles Parsons, Sam Hayes, Alex Laycock and Evan Laycock.
