

Hazel Skinner, age 81, of Duncanville passed away July 8, 2024 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Hazel was born March 17, 1943 to the late Joe Cephus and Lois Duncan Clements. She is also preceded in death by her husband Larry Skinner.
Survivors include her daughter, Lois Kernop, Diane Morton and Mechelle Zavaleta; sons, Robert “Junior” Shows and Jamie Shows; grandchildren, Mitch Taylor, Keele Kernop, Lynn Kernop, Jennifer Zavaleta, Melissa Zavaleta, Courtney Greene, Kristi Riales, Kandice Shows, Katie Nabors and Crystal Emery; great grandchildren, Cade Taylor, Paxton Wolbach, Connor Kernop, Miller Greene, Jr., Laya Zavaleta, Parker Pearson, Brian Pearson, Patricia Pearson, Lanie Pearson, Harper Zavaleta, Declan Zavaleta, Alana Moton, Zoey Moten, Haleigh Freeman, Cameron Freeman, Micah Riales, Ryder Donnelly, and Riley Nabors.
For the majority of Hazel’s life she was a homemaker. She loved drinking her coffee all day, everyday. She also loved to go thrift store shopping, working in her garden, tending to her flowers and visiting with friends. Hazel loved to tell stories and her life and her family, she truly lived life to its fullest and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends at Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Sunday evening, July 14, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a private graveside service to be held the following day. Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Duncan, Micha Riales, Kandice Shows, Katie Nabors, Mark Morton and Richard Morton. Bro. Gene Dockery officiating.
