Henry Grady Mink, age 72, of Brookwood, Ala., passed away, December 11, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. Celebration of Life Service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Heritage Chapel with Kramer Mize officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Heritage Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Lorette Mink; daughter, Laura Mink Barrett; sons, Chris Mink and Henry LeWayne Mink; brothers, Robert Mink and Raymond Mink; and granddaughter, Ava Barrett.
He was born in Brookwood in 1946 and graduated with honors from Brookwood High School in 1964. At the age of 22, he married Lorette Mink, and they celebrated their 50th anniversary in November. He and his wife welcomed their son, Chris Mink, in 1977 and their daughter, Laura Mink, in 1983. He was an honorable, hardworking businessman and devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor. He was an integral part of his community, could bring a smile to anyone's face, and loved to spend his time fishing, sitting on his porch, and laughing with his family.
