Henry Huey Owen

Henry Huey Owen, age 80, of Cottondale, died Sept. 10, 2011, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. William Glen Rainey officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home and Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Roberts Owen; son, John Owen; grandson, Cory Pierce; and his parents, John Wesley Owen and Oda Lee Owen.

Survivors include his daughters, Cindy Reeves (Stan), Judy Gay (David), and Sandra Pierce; son, Henry Bruce Owen (Debbie); sister, Oda Rea Graves (H.O.); grandchildren, Jason Smith (Renae'), Suni Tant, Erika Powell (Jamey), Owen Pierce, Kyle Gay, and Jennifer Gay; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his sons-in-law and grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers are Cory Scott Pierce, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Garrison, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Green, Sandra and Gary Watkins, Dr. Larry Skelton, Dr. Garfield Ramdeen, Amedisys Hospice, Hospice of West Alabama, and Friends from the Way Ministry.
