Hilda was a founding member of Northridge Baptist Church and recently attended Northwood Hills Baptist Church where she enjoyed the fellowship of her Sunday School class. She was a resident of Presbyterian Apartments for 14 years where she developed endearing friendships while enjoying the activities and attending Bible studies. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Presbyterian Apartments for their care and attentiveness. Hilda was fun loving, she loved people, she loved a good story, she enjoyed games of cards, sporting events and anything that her grandchildren or great grandchildren participated in. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praised her; Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
The family would like to thank the deacon body of First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa and the Second Hand Rose ministry for their diligent visitation, and also the nursing staff and care staff of The Crossings of Tuscaloosa. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Hilda's life on August 7, 2024 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with visitation to proceed the service from 12:00 to 1:00pm.
