Hobson Glenn Sanders

Hobson Glenn Sanders (Doc), age 75, of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away at his home on August 15, 2023. A visitation service will be held at Valley View Baptist Church on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 1:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Mike Snow officiating.

Glenn was preceded in death by his son Michael Sanders; his parents, Hobson and Lonie Sanders; and his brother, Donald Eugene Phurrough.

He is survived by his significant other Bette Hilbish; daughters, Glenda Hinsey (Casey), Crystal Baird (Robert), Diane Farnharm (David Baggett), Betsy Adams (Jim), Allison Snow (Mike), and Emily Hayward; son, Jon Hilbish (Sharon); daughter-in-law, Pam Sanders; his grandchildren, Jacob Laycock, Evan Hinsey, Kimberly Farr, Katie Segrest, Joshua Baird, Alex Baird, Jacob Baird, and Amber Baird; and his great-grandchildren, Hayden, Carson, Makenzie, and Carter Bailey.

Glenn was a pilot for over 40 years. He was an Army Veteran who served in Germany and Czechoslovakia.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hank Carter, Joe Perkins, Scott Carruthers, Roy Oswalt, Mac with Coral Industries, along with all of his friends with the Tuscaloosa Airport, and Legacy Hospice.
