Horace Daniel Richardson was born July 21st, 1950, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where his journey began and where his roots ran deep. He remained in his hometown until he answered the call to serve his country, joining the Army and bravely serving in the Vietnam War. His military career flourished, taking him across the globe and shaping a life of dedication and adventure.
While stationed in Germany, Horace met the love of his life, Beth. Their bond was instant and enduring. They married and returned to the United States to build a life together and start a family. Even after retiring from the military, Horace continued his service to others by working at the Tuscaloosa VA, where he remained until his retirement.
Horace had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. He loved casting a line on a quiet fishing trip and had an insatiable passion for travel. But nothing brought him more joy than Saturdays in the fall—watching Alabama football. He was a proud and devoted Crimson Tide fan through and through. His life was one of service, love, and loyalty—to his country, his family, and his team. Roll Tide, Horace. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Horace is preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Gertrude Richardson. Alred Richardson (Brother), Ruby Richardson (Sister), Gene Richardson (Brother), and Faye Ledbetter (sister).
