A graveside service will be held at Memory Hill Gardens, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405, US, on November 2, 2026, at 2:30 pm.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Evelyn Channell; brothers, Tony Ferrell, Joseph Ferrell.
He was survived by his wife, Rita Channell; son, David Channell (Rhonda); stepdaughter, Tanya Brumett; grandchildren, Dustin Channell; step granddaughters, Jessica Dyson, Claudia Breumett; step great granddaughter, Athena Dyson.
Pallbearers will be David Channell, Dustin Channell, Cameron Weaver.
Howard was honorably discharged from the United States Marines Corp. He retired from Phifer Wire in 1995 after 29 years. He had a love for fast cars, computers, being outdoors, and loved yard work. He was a devoted father and loved his family dearly.
