NORTHPORT – James A. “Jim” Beyser, age 78, passed away October 19, 2022 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Cheeks officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Mr. Beyser was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Beyser.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Harless (Jason); sisters, Nancy Ovies and Shirley Novel; grandson, Landon Harless, numerous nieces and nephews; and a special nephew that was more like his brother, Lawrence Boggs and his wife PJ.
Jim was a longtime member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church, He also bowled for many years in different leagues at Leland Lanes and worked for Jim Walters Resources #5 mine for 25+ years.
Pallbearers will be Jason Harless, Landon Harless, Bob Ovies, Jeffrey Boggs, and Alan Beyser.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Buettner and staff, his Sunday school class at Chapel Hill Baptist Church, and the waitresses at Buddy’s Rib & Steak.
