James David Boswell

James David Boswell, age 71, of Duncanville, Alabama passed away at home on Thursday, January 25, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 2 PM with Bro. Vial Fontenot and Bro. John Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Boswell Sr. and Lucille S. Boswell; grandmother, Cleola Snyder; grandparents, Razzie and Annie Boswell; brother, Ed Boswell Jr.; nephew, Andy Boswell Smith; nieces, Brittany Nicole and Laura Elizabeth Boswell.

He is survived by his sister, Jane Boswell Bosch (Billy); brother, George Wayne Boswell (Rita); nieces, Belynda K. Bardon and Adalyn Bosch; nephews, Bruce Boswell, Joey Boswell, Tyler Bosch, B.J. Bosch and Lyle Bosch; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers are the USPS employees and his church family.

David was a graduate of Holt High School. He went on to attend Brewer State and the University of Alabama. In 1973, he went to work for the United States Postal Service until his retirement. David will be remembered as a very loving brother and uncle that will be greatly missed.
