

James Howard Davis, age 85, of Tuscaloosa, died Dec. 7, 2010, at Hunter Creek Health & Rehab. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Valley View Baptist Church with Rev. Brannon Pinion officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Lawson Davis; his daughters, Janice Koski and Kathy Crowder (Rick); his son, Ken Davis (Lois); his sisters, Sara Powell, Mary Lee (Curtis), Jean Foster (Joe), and Peggy Lewis (Billy); his brothers, Edgar (Evelyn), Charles (Cornelia), Syd, Clarence “Bobby” (Doris), and Albert (Louise); four grandsons; two granddaughters; two step-granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Davis was a charter member of Valley View Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from BF Goodrich after 36 ½ years.
Pallbearers will be Stacey Koski, Bob Gutherie, Joseph Allen, Kevin Davis, Gene Lawson, Buddy James, and Dalton Clark, Keith Weems.
Honorary pallbearers are Muriel Wilson, Anita and Julio Preze, Sunlighters of Valley View Baptist Church, retirees of BF Goodrich, Drs. Woods and Alldredge, and caregivers and staff of Hunter Creek Health & Rehab.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Valley View Baptist Church.
