Evelyn, sorry to hear about Buddy. He was a good friend. We spent a lot of time together at the armory, the National Guard, and around Eutaw. I know you will miss him and our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

As an 'in-law', Buddy (and Evelyn) always made me feel part of the family. Buddy was like a dad to Mike and a honorary third grand father for my children and great grand father for our grandson. We looked forward to him meeting our grand daughter who will be arriving any day now. Thanks for all the laughs, Bud-Man and all that you did for us!! You will be greatly missed.

My prayers for family and friends. Buddy was s great friend and I have wonderful memories of hunting trips to the Camphouse. He and dad (Rufus) hunted and fished together for decades. May God comfort the family. Dan Deal

"Uncle Buddy" was a very special Uncle to me, and I cant hold back my tears as I make this entry.  For 48 years, I have been treated like a son, and there have been many instances when I needed him and he was there.  I never heard him say a bad word about anybody, he always had a smile, and he believed in helping his family.  I pray that in the coming days, that God blesses my Aunt Evelyn with the Peace that Passes all Understanding, Peace and strength that can only come through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Due to the miles between us, we never got to see Buddy as much as we would have liked. But when we were together, it was always a joy to be in his presence. I talked with him by phone a couple of weeks ago, and he was upbeat about his pending knee surgery. Therefore it was shocking and heartbreaking to get the news that he had passed away. It is our prayer that God will comfort Evelyn and the rest of the family during this time of sorrow. Like them, we will always cherish the many good memories we have of him.
