Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Nettie Wade, and his father, Bernard Wade. He is also survived by his brother, Jack Wade.
Jerry was a man who defined himself through hard work, incredible craftsmanship, and a deep devotion to the people in his life. He spent the majority of his career working as a skilled autobody repairer and painter, turning his lifelong passion for cars into a true art form. When he wasn’t working on cars, he was likely watching them race, as he was a huge and dedicated fan of NASCAR.
Jerry’s talents extended far beyond the garage. An exceptionally gifted carpenter and all-around handyman, he had the rare ability to build almost anything from scratch, including several houses. If something was broken, Jerry could fix it; if someone needed shelter, Jerry could build it.
Yet, for all his tangible creations, Jerry will be remembered most for his profound selflessness. He possessed a rare, generous heart and would truly do anything for his loved ones, friends, and neighbors, never expecting anything in return. When he wasn't working on a project or helping someone in the community, he found immense joy in the companionship of his beloved pet schnauzers, who brought endless happiness to his life.
