Jimmie Ray Gant, age 84, of Tuscaloosa, died August 11, 2016, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. today, August 14, 2016, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Glenton Gant officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, A Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Selma Gant; and sisters, Carolise Gant and Fay Wheeler.Survivors include daughter, Cathy Dye (Rick); son, Ray Gant; granddaughters, Brittney Dye Elmore (Brian), Crystal Dye and Michelle Dye; and brothers, Glenton Gant and Kernel Franklin Gant. Pallbearers will be Rick Dye, David Bailey, David Lee, Tom Hayes, Joe Lane, Dodie York, J.D. Beck and Ritchie Bailey. Jimmie retired from BellSouth after 41-1/2 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
