Jimmy Randol "Pop" Simpson, age 77, of Tuscaloosa, died September 10, 2015. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015, in Memory Hill Gardens with Dr. Herb Thomas officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memory Provider, directing. Survivors include his wife of 57 years Carolyn Simpson; daughter, Renna S. Chism (Scott); son, Randy Simpson (Tonia); sister, Maxine Stephens; brothers, John C. Simpson (Betty) and Jerry Simpson (Sandra); grandchildren, Tamlyn Skelton (Allen), Randa Simpson, Raygan Chism and Belle Chism. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Brian Wilhite, and staff, Dr. Narayan Krishnamurthy and staff, Dr. John DuBay, and the nurses and staff of Hospice of West Alabama.We would like to express our sincere thanks to all of the family, friends and neighbors for the care they provided during his illness.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
