Joan M. Hammonds, age 83, of Cottondale, Alabama, passed away on August 26, 2023. Mrs. Hammonds is preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Hammonds; son, John Michael Hammonds and her parents, Paul and Twilla Mink. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Raymond P Hammonds; daughter, Debra L (Richie) Wolosiak; daughter-in-law, Denise Hammonds; grandchildren, Patricia Faye (Justin) Lewandowski, Kevin Lee Wren Jr., Katie Hammonds, and Brian Hammonds; great-grandchild, Connor John Lewandowski and a host of family and friends. Joan loved Alabama Football, Softball, and crafting, sewing, cooking, and watching Westerns. Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Hill Gardens. In place of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of West Alabama or Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center in Joan’s memory.
