On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, our world stopped as our oh so loved mother, Joann Virginia Snider Rowe, answered the call of her Lord and Savior and stepped through the gates of heaven. She was 84 years young having been born to William Leonard Snider and Ida Mae Vanoy Snider in June of 1937.
She was the beloved wife of the late Russell Rowe and the much loved mother of Debbie Willingham (Phil) and Ronnie Rowe (Tina).
She was the cherished nana of Haleigh (Brady), Lacie and Ashley.
She was the great step-grandmother of Ricky (Aubrie) and Chastin.
She was the dear sister of Bill Snider, Bob Snider (Connie), Ruth McDougal (Howard), and Helen Wood (Andrew).
And last, but not least, she will always be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors whom she loved dearly.
“All of us are guarded by the most powerful of all angels – our mother”
Our angel was a charter member of Midway Baptist Church in Brookwood and always loved her church family. Can you believe that when we were young children church attendance was not optional at our house even though “The Wonderful World of Disney” and “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom” came on TV during Sunday night service? We couldn’t believe it either but we now realize that one of the greatest gifts God gave us was the gift of a mother and father who loved Him first and loved us beyond measure! What an amazing blessing and legacy for them to leave us.
A graveside service is planned for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Memory Hill Gardens in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
“Love as powerful as your mother’s for you leaves its own mark. To have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever.” – J.K. Rowling
