John M. Butler

John is survived by his son, Rickey M. Butler (Karen); his son John Randy Butler (Wanda); his grandchildren, John S. Butler (Ann), Kurt R. Butler (Kristie), Matthew R. Butler, and Jack Butler (Haley); and his great-grandchildren, Amberly, Addison, Margaux, Brooklynn, and Augustus Butler.

John was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Bama Oswalt, and his second wife, Pauline Pace.

John was born in Fayette County, Alabama, and raised his family in Tuscaloosa with his first wife, Mary Bama Oswalt. After the death of his first wife, he remarried Pauline Pace. After the death of his second wife, he was fulfilled with the fellowship he received at Circlewood Baptist Church. He died content with his faith in his Lord, Jesus Christ.

A visitation for John will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Memory

Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM at Memory Hill Gardens, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405.

Serving as pallbearers are John Butler, Kurt Butler, Matthew Butler, Jack Butler, Matthew Turner, and Nick Turner.
