
John Hagler, age 79, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Jasper First Baptist Church in Jasper, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carlton Chase Hagler and his mother, Pearl Merle Brown-Hagler of Loveland, CO.
John is survived by his wife, Darlene Hagler of Tuscaloosa, AL.; Son, Carlton Hagler of Jasper, AL.; Grandchildren, John R. Hagler and Julianne R. Hagler of Jasper, AL.
John David Hagler was born September 26, 1943 and passed away December 13, 2022. John entered into God's loving embrace on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Darlene Pilkington Hagler and proud father of Carlton Hagler (Candice). He was a loving grandfather to two grandchildren: John Roger Hagler and Julianne Reese Halger, who loved their "Pawpaw". John was born in Denver, CO and grew up in Estes Park and Loveland Colorado. John enlisted in the United States Navy shortly after high school where he served during Vietnam from 1963-1965 as a machinist mate on board the USS Princeton and the USS Klondike. After the Navy, John worked for several different companies throughout his career in Loveland, CO., Starkville, MS., and Tuscaloosa, AL. Throughout John's life, he enjoyed the outdoors, the Rocky Mountains, woodworking, reading, watching westerns, and spending time with family. John Hagler will truly be missed.
