
Judith Keith Hand, age 77, of Westminster, Colo., formerly of Tuscaloosa, died Feb. 1, 2012. A celebration of her life will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, is in charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Bryant Keith; mother, Margaret Robbins Keith; and husband, Dr. Cletis Hand.
Survivors include her four children, Terry Hand, Robin Hand, Marleah McAnalley of Muscle Shoals, and Martin (Marti) Hand of Westminster, Colo.; five grandchildren, Anna Leigh McAnalley, Lauren McAnalley, Jordan McAnalley, Kendall Hand, and Austin Hand; her brother, Dan Keith; and many precious friends.
Judy was born December 5, 1934, in Tampa, Florida. She moved with her family to Alabama when she was two years old and grew up in Mobile, Ala. An exceptional student, she graduated from Murphy High School at age 16. She graduated with a degree in Medical Technology from the University of Alabama, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. A loving, dedicated, and patient mother, an excellent cook, and an avid reader, Braves baseball, and Alabama football fan, Judy enjoyed her family, her friends, making holidays special, and lots of laughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the building fund at University Church of Christ or to the charity of one's choice .
