

Judy was preceded in death by her father, William Robert Richey; mother, Gussie McDaniel Richey.
She is survived by her husband, William Porter Litty of Northport, AL; daughter, Shannon Litty Spruiell (Brooks) of Coker, AL; son, Scott Litty (Kelley) of Hiram, GA; sister, Nelda Henninger of Pell City, AL; brother, Terry Richey of Pell City, AL; grandchildren, Addie and Caroline Spruiell of Coker, AL; Brandon and Julia Litty of Hiram, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Judy lived a simple and quiet life with an extraordinary impact on those around her. She was a supportive military wife to her husband, Porter. They loved all over the country, including to Athens, Greece. She tended to, and took care of, their children and home when he was away on Air Force business.
For several years, Judy worked in the finance office of First Baptist Church, in Abilene, TX. After moving back to Alabama in 2001, she worked in, and retired from, the medical office of Progress Rail Services in Albertville, AL. She and her husband moved to Northport, Alabama in 2019 and became members of Five Points Baptist Church. She became involved with several ministries within the church and made many new friends, while remaining close with ones scattered all over the country.
Judy was a wonderful wife, an amazing mom, and the best Nana who liked creating a fun environment, and cooked delicious food, for all of us to enjoy. She was a constant encouragement who took pride in her children and grandchildren's successes.
Judy was the true definition of "small but mighty." She was strong and determined, uplifting and loving, and always willing to show up. She was kind and thoughtful to those around her. She had a beautiful smile that welcomed everyone. Judy was special.
