

Tuscaloosa: Kathryn Imogene “Jean” Humphrey, 89, of Tuscaloosa, died October, 6th, 2020. Services will be on Sunday, October 11th, 3pm at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Humphrey; father, William F. Capley Sr; mother, Louise Capley; brothers, William Capley Jr, Charles Capley, Thomas Capley, and Johnny Capley.
Survivors include her two sons, Greg (Gina) Humphrey of Tuscaloosa; Dennis (Jane) Humphrey of Brewton; daughter Myra Darlene (Richard) Hunter of Quinton; brothers Joe Capley of Northport, Denny (Gleneva) Capley of Tuscaloosa, George (Sandra) Capley of Brookwood, and Bobby Capley of Palm Coast, FL; grandchildren Matthew (Leah) Humphrey of Marietta, Ga; Jenna (Tony) Pierce of Brewton; Bobby Joe Humphrey of Concord, NH; Patrick and Jeremy Harper of Quinton; Tommy Golden of At-lanta, Ashli Golden of Tuscaloosa; Troy (Jennifer) Golden of Chelsea; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Born Jan 2, 1931 in Abernant, she moved with her family to Kellerman where she was raised with her eight brothers. A graduate of Brookwood High School, she was active at Alberta Baptist Church, Mt Par-ham Baptist Church, and Hopewell Baptist Church where she attended Sunday School classes and Young at Heart meetings. Always ready to lend a hand to those in need, she was truly a Christian showing her love and care for others.
Pallbearers will be Norris Capley, Tommy Golden, Troy Golden, Bobby Joe Humphrey, Matthew Humphrey, and Jayce Tierce.
