Mrs. Blount was preceded in death by her husband Roy B. Blount, son Brad Blount, parents John Joseph 'Hurtis' Ballard and Nora Lucille Ballard, and brother Bobby D. Ballard.
She is survived by Children Mike Blount, and Kelly Blount Miller, grandchildren Ryan Miller, Nicole Blount Hawk, Austin Blount, Samantha Blount Logan, and Carter Blount, great-grandchildren Kinsley Blount, Emma Kay Miller, and and Sadie Mae Miller.
Mrs. Blount worked at Gulf States Paper Corporation for over 30 years, earning service awards for her hard work and dedication. Outside of work, she found joy in cheering on her beloved Alabama baseball and football teams, as well as the Atlanta Braves. She also enjoyed watching Western movies and TV shows and spending time reading. Throughout her life, Kay embodied the values she cherished: kindness, honesty, respect, sincerity, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memory Chapel Funeral Home will hold a memorial service on Saturday April,4 2025 Starting at 11:00 am.
