

L.B. “Stack” Stacy, age 78, of Tuscaloosa, died Oct. 5, 2010, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Medders Stacy.
Survivors include his wife, Sammie Stacy of Tuscaloosa; his daughters, Ginny Bullock (Kenny) and Lisa Stacy; his son, Dennis Stacy (Debbie); his grandchildren, Kristy Stacy of Tuscaloosa, Amy Hammonds (Kyle) of Birmingham, Stacy Graham of Shreveport, La., Heather Sauceman and Jayme Wilson of Tuscaloosa, and Brandi Walker of North Wilkesboro, N.C.; and his great-grandchild, Harper Leigh Hammonds of Birmingham.
L.B. was born December 25, 1931. He graduated from Brookwood High School in 1950. He served in the Korean War. He was an active member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He was an avid Alabama football and baseball fan. He was loved by all who knew him.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Mallett, Mike Hodge, Mark Pumphrey, Joel Bullock, Ronnie Guy, and Kyle Hammonds.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Hopewell Baptist Church, Charles and Jo Cooper, Iris Mallett, Foster & Associates, Mary, Sue, and Amber Foster, Dr. Summerford, Dr. Lucy, Dr. Hitt, Carol Myers, Buddy and Shirley Adams, Glenda and Bobby Bullock, Joyce Polette, Steve Davis, Charlie Leonard, Eddie Burns, Phillip Guy, Tommy Bosch, Scottie Bosch, Mike Crowder, Tom McCall, David Gay, Eddie Davis, Scott Capell, Randy Taylor, O.K. Bryant, Ray Wilson, Mike Hammer, all those he coached and played ball with, and friends and neighbors of Elm Drive, and special thanks to DCH Stroke Unit and special friend Bob Crowder.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama or Hopewell Baptist Church Building Fund.
